Israeli singer and soccer amateur player Eyal Golan expressed his concerns about the silence of some players in the Arab sector regarding the recent massacres carried out by the terrorist organization Hamas

The artist, who plays for Be'er Ya'akov in the third league and is a well-known soccer enthusiast, shared his perspective on Radio Haifa.

"These are days like we've never seen before,” he said. “It is difficult to process one's emotions. We must support our soldiers during this time. This is our mission, to strengthen our people. I've personally refrained from using Instagram and TikTok for the past week, leaving it to my team to manage because I can't bear to see it. The damage to one's soul is profound."

Golan said that Israel is now required to completely destroy Hamas.

"Our victory should include a complete eradication of all Hamas members, from the foot soldiers to their leaders, each one of them,” he said. “There's also the Islamic Jihad, a small yet equally dangerous faction - they too must be eliminated. We must ensure that people in our country can live in peace. We can't keep going from one round of violence to another.”

“I visit wounded soldiers in hospitals, and their stories are like something out of a Hollywood movie, but these are real people,” he added. “The things they've witnessed will require a lot of healing. When you meet a wounded soldier who tells you, 'We will win,' it strengthens me, and I hope I strengthen them too."

The singer criticized the silence among players from the Arab sector, some of whom have not condemned the recent massacre.

“I believe it all starts with singing the national anthem,” he said. “We are one country, and if you play and represent my flag or are part of the Israeli national team, you should start by singing the anthem."

A time for unity

Golan said that all the proceeds from his new song will go to charity.

"All the proceeds from this song will be donated to the NGO ERAN,” he said.

ERAN provides Lifesaving Emotional First Aid Services.

“I wanted to do something to boost morale and promote unity,” he said. “The love and support for our soldiers by the people in Netanya is unparalleled. I've released a song that celebrates this unity, highlighting that no one can defeat us when we stand together."
