California cult rockers Eagles of Death Metal have become a household name for all the wrong reasons since they performed to a packed audience at Tel Aviv's Barby Club last July. They were on the stage four months later at Paris's Bataclan concert hall, when Islamic State terrorists armed with rifles and explosives burst in and killed 89 people. No band members were hurt in the attack, but three crew members were killed. The band, formed in the late 1990s by lifelong friends Jesse Hughes and Queens of the Stone Age Josh Homme, has recovered from the Paris trauma and is launching a world tour that will bring them back to Israel, this time to Hangar 10 on September 5.During their 2015 show, the band stood up to calls for boycotting Israel, with Hughes telling the raucous crowd: ‘I would never boycott a place like this.”
