Eyal Golan cancels wedding party in light of coronavirus restrictions

Golan is marrying Daniel Greenberg, a model and former Big Brother contestant who announced just days ago that she is expecting his child.

The task of cutting the guest list by more than 1,000 proved too much for Israeli superstar singer Eyal Golan, who announced late Wednesday that his wedding to Daniel Greenberg, a model and former Big Brother contestant, planned for Thursday would go on in a small ceremony, but that the lavish party following the ceremony would be canceled.
This was in response to an announcement by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu earlier in the evening that the Health Ministry was limiting gatherings to no more than 100 people. The prime minister emphasized in his speech that unless celebrations were essential, they should be canceled.

Golan and Greenberg, who posted a positive pregnancy test on her Instagram account to announce she is carrying his child just days ago, had been planning a lavish party at the Dan Intercontinental Hotel in Tel Aviv with 1,400 guests to celebrate their marriage. Many were calling it “the event of the year.”
