The Bazan Group is preparing a NIS 1.5 million aid package for civilians who have been affected by the fighting. The company will focus its efforts in three main areas – mental health, housing solutions, and assistance and activities for the absorption of evacuees in community centers throughout the country.

Bazan has allocated NIS 600,000 to NATAL and ERAN, two organizations that provide emotional support to the general public in both routine and emergency circumstances. In addition, the company will earmark NIS 700,000 to host residents from areas of the conflict at the Kedma Hotel. Sderot residents will receive priority for rooms. The arrangement with the Kedma Hotel has been organized in conjunction with the Isrotel hotel chain.

Bazan will allocate NIS 150,000 for Israel’s Community Centers for those evacuated from the Gaza communities. Equipment, transportation, and activities for children will be arranged for those who have been evacuated to absorption centers. The Israel Federation of Community Centers is working to assist in the evacuation of residents to other cities and is providing activities for mental health assistance, support for the families of the victims, help with funeral arrangements, community assistance to the families of abductees, and continued activities in informal education in protected spaces throughout the country.

Finally, Carmel Olefins Ltd, a Bazan subsidiary, has donated NIS 150,000 of raw materials to the Palziv factory to produce and supply mattresses for soldiers.

Moshe Kaplinsky, Chairman of Bazan Group, said: “The people of Israel are strong and united. Our national resilience is tested by our ability to help all parts of Israeli society get through these difficult days. Beyond the supply of essential goods for the continuous functioning of the energy sector, the Bazan Group will assist civilians injured in the war that has been forced upon us. We will get through this period together, stronger than ever.”
