Former prime minister Ehud Barak had his phone and computer tapped by Iranians, according to the head of the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency), Nadav Argaman.Channel 12 released a report on Sunday that said an infiltration into Barak’s phone was detected about six months ago.Sources close to the case claimed it did not seem like the Iranians themselves hacked the phone, but rather purchased the information from hackers. The information that appears to have been taken is not vital, according to the report.
This release came in the wake of last week’s report that Iranian intelligence hacked Blue and White Party leader Benny Gantz’s phone, managing to steal its contents.Blue and White accused Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of leaking the report about Gantz’s phone and then briefing reporters with lies.
