Former Israeli MK questioned over alleged sexual bribes during his tenure
Police have detained the former cabinet member and are questioning him, suspecting felonies of bribery, fraud and breach of trust.

A former Knesset member, whose name remains under gag order, was detained for investigation Wednesday morning, according to the Israeli Police.According to the Lahav 433 anti-corruption unit, the ex-cabinet member is being investigated by the police for allegedly receiving, during his tenure, bribes from an Israeli businessman.Some of the bribes were of a sexual nature. In return, the former Knesset member is suspected to have promoted the businessman's agenda in several areas.The police were guided by a firm impression that the suspect was involved in bribery, fraud and breach of trust felonies. He was investigated under warning.In accordance with investigation development, the Israel Police will determine treatment of the suspect's case.The investigation is being monitored by the Tel Aviv District Attorney’s office who will decide if the case will be prosecuted.As of early Wednesday afternoon, the former MK is still detained by police.
