By GIL HOFFMANUpdated: JANUARY 12, 2019 20:00Hosen L'Israel (Israel Resilience) Party leader Benny Gantz is not expected to deliver a speech or make any public comments in the week ahead, sources close to him said on Saturday night.Gantz has not made any public statements since he entered politics on December 27. There were incorrect reports that he would deliver a landmark address last Thursday, and that he would address opponents of the Nation-State law, when they come to his home in Rosh Ha'ayin on Monday on a week-long protest tour of homes of politicians. But Gantz's associates said there were no plans made to speak of as of Saturday night. They also downplayed a report published in the Makor Rishon newspaper on Friday about a speech Gantz delivered in October 2015 in Gevim in the Gaza periphery's Sha'ar Hanegev Regional Council."In our relations with our neighbors, we need to speak less about what we will not concede and a lot more on what we are willing to concede for a better future," Gantz was quoted as saying in the speech. "We must be prepared to use military power against the Gaza Strip, but neighbors must also be given hope."He added in the speech that "We will also have to live by the sword in the future, but it it is important that we know we did our part to prevent that." A spokeswoman for Hosen L' Israel (Israel Resilience) responded that the party has not yet released any statements on its views regarding any policies.
