Israel remembers 10 teens lost in flash flood disaster

Israel mourned the loss of 10 young adults in a flash flood disaster as funerals began on Friday.

Families and friends mourned the victims of Thursday's flash flood disaster in southern Israel, in which ten youths were killed after being swept away by a surge in the Tzafit stream, west of the southern part of the Dead Sea, amid intense, unseasonable storms throughout the country. Ella Or, Yael Sadan, Maayan Barhum, Tzur Alfi, Shani Shamir, Romi Cohen, Adam Levy, Gali Balali, Ilan Bar Shalom and Adi Ranen lost their lives in a pre-army academy hike during the storms. Funerals for the victims began on Friday.
