"We think that there is a huge gap between industrial candy that we find in the supermarket...and artisanal candy, what in French we call 'confiserie,' which is a really amazing field in pastries," said the owner of the market Shir Halpern, in an interview with ILTV.
The booths at the market sported all kinds of sweets, chocolates, caramels, and anything else someone with a sweet tooth could wish for.
Halpern noted that "when we started the market ten years ago we had one candy maker, and she's here today.
"It's really interesting to celebrate quality candy ten years later, and to see that we have so many producers."
