Benny Gantz receives mandate from President Reuven Rivlin

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu originally received the mandate, but was unable to form a government and returned the mandate on Monday night.

Blue and White leader Benny Gantz is receiving the mandate from President Reuven Rivlin, which gives him the ability to attempt to form a government coalition.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu originally received the mandate, but was unable to form a government and returned the mandate on Monday night.
Gantz will now have 28 days in which to form a government, or the mandate will be handed back to the president.
