What happens when two rock legends meet in New York? Magic. And over the weekend in New York City, famed Israeli musician Shlomo Artzi got a chance to meet the legend himself, Bruce Springsteen.According to a post on Artzi’s Facebook page, the Israeli singer was invited to Springsteen’s much-buzzed about Broadway show, Springsteen on Broadway.According to Artzi, Springsteen invited him and producer Louis Lahav – who has worked with both musicians – to the show.“Due to the special connection between Louis and Bruce, the pair were invited backstage,” Artzi’s Facebook post reads, “and they met The Boss.”Artzi told Ynet that Lahav introduced him to Springsteen “and we spoke for a few minutes. I asked him why he doesn’t come to perform in Israel; I told him he has tens of thousands of fans in Israel, and I could guarantee him 100,000 people at the park [Hayarkon in Tel Aviv].”According to Artzi, Springsteen smiled and said: “I’ll come.” In an interview published this week in the London Times, Springsteen said it was “time get back to his day job” after a year appearing on Broadway, and hinted that he might be going out on tour in 2019.Maybe Israel will get lucky this time.
