Al Hayat: Hizbullah may agree to compromise on Shaba Farms

Hizbullah may be willing to compromise on the issue of the disputed Shaba farms, London-based Al Hayat reported Monday.
According to the report, the issue was discussed between French President Nicolas Sarkozy and the head of Hizbullah's faction in the Lebanese parliament, Muhammad Ra'ad, during Sarkozy's recent trip to Lebanon.
Ra'ad reportedly told Sarkozy that Hizbullah was willing to settle the dispute "diplomatically." Sarkozy responded that he would raise the issue in his visit to Israel later this month.
Hizbullah has cites Israel's occupation of the Shaba Farms as one of the main reasons for its continued "resistance" of Israel. Israel says the area is Syria and would be discussed as part of negotiations with that nation.
