Ayalon: PA request to UN to declare state is idle threat
Deputy foreign minister says Abbas' request to UN is bluff aimed at pressuring Israel, says this shows no real intention to resolve conflict.

The declaration made by Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas request the UN declare a Palestinian state is an idle threat," Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon said Saturday."This is a bluff aimed at pressuring Israel," Ayalon explained during a cultural event in Modi'in. We support the peace process but not at the expense of our security interests."Ayalon also discussed the coalition and did not deny that Kadima may join [Prime Minister Binyamin] Netanyahu's government. "Kadima can join the government if it fits in with its guidelines ," he said. "We do not exclude anyone and we do expect anyone to rule out others."
