Barzilai Hospital to hold Grad missile emergency drill
By JUDY SIEGEL-ITZKOVICH
A first-of-its-kind hospital emergency drill to see how Ashkelon's Barzilai Medical Center would cope with a Grad missile "hitting" a five-storey hospitalization building was set to be held on Tuesday between 11 a.m. and 1.30 p.m.
The medical center was due to be assessed on how it would deal with an outpatient clinic's laboratory filled with toxic chemicals and a fire breaking out that would require patients to be lowered from the roof.
Some 100 firemen, 10 fire service vehicles, doctors and nurses will participate in the drill.
