A group of forlorn reporters stood this morning in the rain outside the Prime Minister's Office and tried to peer through the smoked-up windows of the cars driving through, in the hope of
identifying the new members of Sharon's party.
(National Responsibility, the name suggested by Justice Minister Tzipi Livni has already been ditched).
A moment of excitement passed when someone thought he spotted Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz's limousine but Mofaz himself didn't turn up. It was a mug's game, as the number or identity of Knesset members joining Sharon has little relevance for the coming campaign.
