Palestinian doctors said Wednesday that five Palestinians were injured in fighting with IDF troops in the southern Gaza Strip.
Witnesses said that about 25 tanks and armored bulldozers entered an area east of Khan Younis before dawn Wednesday. The doctors said that five Palestinians, including one civilian, were wounded in two air strikes.
The IDF said that troops were operating in the area against gunmen. The army spokesman said the soldiers identified hitting a group of gunmen in the first air strike.
