The Finance Ministry on Sunday will present the government with Israel's 2008 budget, which includes numerous cuts at a total of 6 billion NIS, Army Radio reported. Cutbacks include a proposed rise in the price of water, the erosion of mortgage benefits for young couples and a health tax for housewives.
The defense and education budgets, on the other hand, will receive a 4 billion shekel boost.
