The car of Haifa District Court Judge Moshe Gilad was torched early Monday morning by unknown arsonists near his Acre residence. Nobody was hurt in the incident.Police believe the arson is related to Gilad’s work in court, but note that Gilad, as a lawyer, had represented high-profile criminals, including members of the Mor family. Gilad had not received any threats recently.Meanwhile, a judge at the Jerusalem Local Affairs Court was verbally attacked in the courthouse corridor by a man in who hollered at her, “I hope you die! I’ll take care of it.” The suspect was arrested by court security personnel.Last month, Supreme Court President Dorit Beinisch was lightly hurtwhen 52-year-old Pinchas Cohen, who has a criminal record, threw twosneakers at the chief justice as she presided over a court hearing –striking her in the face with the first shoe and knocking her off herchair as the second whizzed past.“You’re corrupt! You’ve ruined our lives!” Cohen reportedly yelled during the attack.
