An IAF Cobra helicopter made an emergency landing in the South after the pilot noticed that the helicopter was experiencing a mechanical problem during a training exercise on Wednesday night.
The pilot succeeded in landing the helicopter. Once it hit the ground, it fell to its side.
The pilot and navigator were evacuated to the hospital but were in good condition.
Air Force Chief Maj.-Gen. Eliezer Shkedy ordered the opening of an investigation into the circumstances that led to the emergency landing.
Until the investigation is complete, the IAF will ground all Cobra helicopters, Army Radio reported.
