Jenin woman bitten by snake saved by staff at Emek Medical Center in Afula

Nadia Ayad, a 30-year-old woman from Jenin, was found on Monday night in a field after having been bitten by a poisonous viper snake.
She was evacuated by military hospital to Emek Medical Center in Afula. There she was found to suffer from a lot of bleeding in various parts of her body.
She was treated with a special antidote suited to the toxin, causing her condition to stabilize. The type of viper lives in the Gilboa, Negev, Judean Desert and Jordan Rift.
There have been cases of people dying very soon after being bitten by such a snake. She and her family expressed their gratitude to Haemek doctors and nurses for saving her life.
