The election campaign turned violent for a group of Labor supporters on Sunday when they were attacked by a group of Likud activists as they put up signs at the Azor Junction near Holon.
Election officials were quick to condemn the attack.
According to a Labor spokesman, the Likud supporters, who were apparently waiting near the junction, ambushed the Labor group, attacking it with knives and batons. The Labor supporters managed to flee in their cars, which were damaged by stones thrown at them. No one was injured in the incident.
