Palestinian security and health officials say a mechanic with Hamas's police force was killed and four people were injured in an Israeli air strike in southern Gaza.
The IDF said a suspicious vehicle was hit near the Kerem Shalom crossing between Israel and Gaza. Witnesses said the target of the strike was a jeep parked near the Rafah crossing with Egypt.
The air strike came a few hours after Hamas operatives drove two booby-trapped cars into the Kerem Shalom crossing. One car was detonated. Thirteen soldiers were wounded and three Hamas men killed.
