Israel Police Chief Insp.-Gen. David Cohen apologized on Wednesday to the Druze community for the policemen who violated a Druze prayer home during the Peki'in riots in late October.
Police said that the intrusion of the policemen into the prayer home was one of the factors which escalated the violence.
"The prayer home was not marked as such. We did not know the building was sacred. I apologize", said Cohen.
