Police: Driver who caused fatal crash had license revoked

A Police investigation has revealed that 21-year-old Jaffa resident Khatam, driver of a vehicle that caused a crash leaving both himself and another passenger dead, had his license revoked last week for driving under the influence of alcohol.
The accident happened at around 4:30 a.m. Thursday when Ashur rammed into an oncoming taxi. As a result, 46-year-old Tel Aviv resident Irena Tachterota was killed and the taxi driver was seriously injured. Khatam was also seriously injured and later died of his injuries.
