Police suspect 1st Sgt. Mjr. Yigal Cohen was deliberately run over

A preliminary examination of the scene where Negev District Police First-Sergeant Major Yigal Cohen, 32, was killed Thursday overnight, conducted Friday morning, suggested that the offenders might have deliberately run Cohen over.
Cohen was killed placing a speed trap near the Mitzpe Ramon cemetery in the South.
The driver and another person traveling with him claimed they had not noticed Cohen standing on the dark road.
After hitting Cohen, the driver lost control of his car and the vehicle turned over on the roadside. The travelers were not hurt.
