According to a report on poverty in Israel released by the Latet ("To Give") charity organization on Tuesday, 86 percent of the people who turn to Latet for assistance need dental care but can't pay for it.
Over a third of those who ask Latet for help have been unemployed for a significant period of time. 60% can't afford medicine, and 60% can't make their mortgage payments.
Israel Radio reported that approximately a third of the charitable organization in Israel are in danger of closing if they don't receive assistance.
