The spiritual mentor of the Shas Party, Rabbi Ovadia Yosef, issued surprising praise of Likud leader Binyamin Netanyahu on Sunday in a sign that he is interested in future cooperation with him.
Yosef called Netanyahu "my dear friend who has done a lot for the Torah for the sake of heaven, who will still do more."
