Taxi tariffs rise 5.1 percent due to increasing fuel prices

Taxi transport tariffs were raised by 5.1 percent on Wednesday in response to the increasing price of fuel, particularly of diesel fuel since June 2006.
Taxi tariffs will start at a minimum of NIS 9.90 instead of NIS 9.50 previously. The tariff for ordering a taxi by telephone has gone up to NIS 3.80 from NIS 3.60 previously, while the added third person fee rose to NIS 3.50 from NIS 3.30 previously.
