An indictment was filed Sunday morning in the Tel Aviv District Court against Michael and Ruth Ha'efrati, the couple who designed and deployed the Trojan Horse virus that penetrated dozens of Israeli businesses.
Ruth Ha'efrati was indicted on charges of eavesdropping, invasion of privacy, fraud under serious extenuating conditions, and a series of other computer-related offenses. Her husband, Michael, was indicted for aiding and abetting the commission of those same offenses.
According to the indictment, the couple confessed to many of the offenses. The district attorney's office arrived at a plea bargain with the couple, the details of which will only be released in the court proceedings.
The prosecution has requested that the couple's detention be extended until the completion of the legal proceedings against them.
