Hamas gains 73 percent of the vote in Nablus

According to results published early Friday, Hamas was victorious by a large margin in the primaries in Nablus. Hamas was victorious in 11 out of the 13 communities inside the city. Fatah, the ruling Palestinian party, only retained 13 percent of the vote in the city, while Hamas gained 73%, Israel Radio reported.
