It was a magical gift Sami received that took him back in time to pre-exodus Egypt, from where he may – or may not – take part in the dramatic exit of the Israelites from slavery. And no less importantly, find his way back in time.
This is the storyline of a highly popular televised children series broadcast online by Arutz Meir, which earlier this week launched a special Pessah series dubbed into English.
The new channel, available at www.meirkids.com free of charge, will show the educational endeavors of Asi and Tuvia, two of the stars of Arutz Meir’s children channel.
Head of Machon Meir Rabbi Dov Bigon, whose institute is behind the television stations, said that the idea behind opening the station’s content to an English-speaking audience came to him while on a trip to the US. While there, educators bemoaned the lack of educational and Jewish content available to Jewish children.
The success of Arutz Meir in Israel led him to believe that it would work with English speakers as well.
“We think that the new channel will serve the children – but also parents and educators abroad in strengthening their Judaism and Zionism – which is an important mission for us,” he said on Thursday.
Bigon himself is also part of a new series in the works of bedtime stories to be broadcast on Arutz Meir children’s channel, which offers movies and programs aimed at a religious and young viewership.
