An internet survey has found that employees in the Sharon area earn significantly higher wages and salaries than workers in the same jobs in other parts of Israel, reports www.local.co.il. The survey by the AllJobs website found that in the Sharon area an employee can get as much as 15 percent more than a worker doing the same job elsewhere in Israel.
According to the report, the survey compared gross salaries and wages for a number of identical jobs across the country, and found a wide variation between geographical areas. A truck driver in the Sharon earns an average of NIS 6,600 per month, 15% more than the NIS 5,700 earned by a truck driver in the general central area. A storeman (warehouseman) in the Sharon earns an average of NIS 5,300 per month, 9.5% more than the NIS 4,800 a storeman earns in the center and 12.5% more than the NIS 4,640 earned in Jerusalem. A secretary in the Sharon earns an average of NIS 4,830 per month, 5% more than the NIS 4,600 earned by a secretary in Jerusalem.
