Iran's judiciary says a journalist who was sentenced to death on terrorism charges has been executed.
The journalist, Yaghoob Mirnehad, was accused of involvement in the armed Jundallah group, believed to have links to al-Qaida.
Judiciary spokesman Ali Reza Jamshidi says the death sentence was carried out on Monday in the city of Zahedan, about 1600 kilometers, or 990 miles, southeast of Tehran.
Mirnehad was accused of setting up a group "to cooperate" with Jundallah, which operates along the Iran-Pakistan border and has been blamed for deadly attacks on Iranian troops.
