Kuwait's former emir, removed in power struggle over his health, dies at 78

Kuwaiti state television says the country's former emir, Sheik Saad Al Abdullah Al Sabah, has died.
Sheik Saad was Kuwait's ruler for nine days in January 2006 before being removed by parliament because of his failing health.
The station says he died Tuesday in Kuwait City. He was 78.
