The head of a leading Palestinian human rights group on Wednesday said he'll accept a major Dutch prize by video conference after the Supreme Court banned him from traveling to the awards ceremony.
Al-Haq director Shawan Jabarin had hoped to travel from the West Bank to the Netherlands on Friday to receive the "Geuzenpenning Prize" on behalf of his group.
The court said Tuesday that Jabarin would not be allowed to travel because evidence from Israeli security agents that Jabarin is involved with terror groups.
Jabarin said the charges are politically motivated and based on secret evidence he has never been able to see or challenge in court.
