A state-owned newspaper is reporting that Iran has hanged three men who were convicted of murder.
The IRAN daily said Thursday that all three were executed on Wednesday. One of them was hanged at the Evin prison just north of the capital, Teheran. The report did not provide the locations of the other two executions.
The report says the three were convicted on separate murder charges, and two of the men were under the age of 30.
Murder, rape, armed robbery, kidnapping and drug trafficking are capital offenses in the Islamic Republic.
