Jordanian protesters gathered outside the Israeli embassy in capital Amman on Friday, demanding the annulment of Jordanian-Israeli peace treaty signed in 1994.
Demonstrators chanted slogans in support of the Palestinian people, commemorating the passing of 44 years since the 1967 Six-Day War which resulted in what is widely seen as the Israeli occupation of Palestinian lands.

Protesters also demanded the extradition of the ambassador, and the closure of the Israeli embassy. Iranian Press TV reported that demonstrators burned Israeli flags shouting "No Zionist embassy on Jordanian land." They chanted slogans of unity between the Palestinian and Jordanian peoples.
According to the Kuwait News Agency, Palestinian supporters at the rally were calling on the international community to step in and help end the occupation of Palestinian land.
In other opposition protests across the countries, Jordanians called on their own government to hasten reform, especially with regards to political parties and parliamentary elections.
