Attorney-General Yehuda Weinstein has begun investigating complaints that a senior minister allegedly committed sexual offenses years ago against a woman he worked with, Israeli media reported Sunday night.Weinstein, alongside police and officials from the Justice Ministry, launched a probe to check the credibility of the recently-filed allegations and whether the statue of limitations applies given the amount of time that has passed since the offenses were said to have taken place.According to Channel 2, the alleged offenses occurred 15 years ago."This is a political assassination," Channel 2 quoted the unnamed minister as saying in response to the accusations. "I have no idea what they're talking about, I have never heard this woman's name in my life."Depending on Weinstein's findings from the preliminary examination, he will then decide whether to launch a criminal investigation.
