A-G orders fresh investigation into Harpaz document
Weinstein asks investigators to see if criminal offenses were carried out; police had earlier decided Harpaz was responsible for forgery.

Police and the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) have been ordered by Attorney General Yehuda Weinstein to launch a fresh investigation into the Harpaz document affair.Lt.-Col. (res.) Boaz Harpaz, a former intelligence army officer, is suspected of forging a document containing plans to damage reputations of senior IDF officers in a bid to promote OC Southern Command Maj.-Gen. Yoav Galant¹s candidacy to become IDF chief of general staff.
