Ziv Medical Center hospitalizes two hurt in Syrian conflict; one for a gun shot wound, the second suffered shrapnel injuries.

Two Syrian nationals injured in the conflict between Syrian President Bashar Assad and opposition forces were transferred to the trauma unit of Ziv Medical Center in Safed on Saturday, Army Radio reported.According to the report, one of the injured men sustained gun shot and shrapnel injuries in the stomach. The other had also been shot in the stomach.On Friday, two injured Syrians were also transferred to Israel for treatment, according to the army-run radio station.Five additional Syrians remain hospitalized at Ziv Medical Center.Israeli medical institutions have so far treated over 30 individuals that have been sent over the border from its war-torn neighbor to the North.The British-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, which monitors violence through a network of security and medical sources in Syria, estimates the death toll from two years of conflict has risen above 100,000.Reuters contributed to this report.
