By JUDY SIEGEL-ITZKOVICHStudents at all the medical schools in the country will not go to classes on Monday to demonstrate their support for medical residents who are demanding higher wages and better conditions.The residents have tried to resign collectively, but they have been barred from doing so by the National Labor Court.RELATED:Hospitals return to normal after court ‘tie-up’ order 470 residents stay away from work, but most hospitals cope The demonstration will be held Monday outside Beit Ariela in Tel Aviv at 6 p.m. Medical schools usually open before the general academic year.The Treasury had invited representatives of the young doctors for yet another negotiating session on Sunday, but the residents said they would not turn up because they understood no new proposals would be raised. The residents plan to take the refusal to allow them to resign to the Supreme Court.
