Meretz Chairwoman Zehava Gal-On accused Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman of "fanning the flames" of hate and racism between Israeli Jews and Arabs on Saturday afternoon, following a night of violent rioting on both sides."It's the right of Arab citizens of Israel to demonstrate in their homeland, and is not dependent upon the whims of Mr. Liberman," she said.Gal-On also accused Liberman of working to disenfranchise Israeli-Arabs and revoke their citizenship.Earlier Saturday, Liberman released a statement on his Facebook page congratulating police for arresting Israeli Arabs who took part in the Friday night riots. He called for a swift and firm punishment, and said that "these events once again make clear that these people do not belong in the State of Israel," but rather that "their place is in prison."Palestinian unrest spread to Israeli-Arab towns Friday night, with clashes between demonstrators and police taking place in Taibe, Tira and Kalansua, where the car of a Jewish man was torched. In the West Bank, clashes took place in Shuafat and outside Ma'aleh Adumim.Palestinian news agency Ma'an reported that several of the protesters were injured by rubber bullets and tear gas.
