Comic-cons are usually exciting for hard-core fans of comic books, fantasy, and science fiction. But with the new Wonder Woman movie gaining both critical and commercial success, little girls now have a hero of their own: the fighting fictional amazon skillfully portrayed on the silver screen by Israeli model and actress Gal Gadot.
On Saturday at San-Diego Comic-con, the world-known Israeli actress was participating in a panel to promote the release of the new Justice League movie by Warner Brothers. After the panel, when fans were encouraged to approach the actors and actresses who don the caps and costumes of the colorful crusaders, a little girl burst into tears when coming face to face with Gadot.
Fully clad in a child's version of the Wonder Woman outfit, the little girl was emotionally overcome by meeting her hero.
Gadot reached out for the girl and clasped her hand as she explained "There's no reason to cry anymore, right?"
"Here we are together," said Gadot, smiling and giving the child her full attention while maintaining direct eye contact.
Ezra Miller, who plays the role of the Flash in the Justice League movie, also cheered the girl up by telling her she's a warrior.
"Come join the Justice League whenever you're ready," Miller said.
Justice League, directed by Zack Snyder, will be released in November.
