Meanwhile, four rockets were fired at Israel - two fired from the Sinai Peninsula into Eilat, injuring four residents of the city lightly, and destroying vehicles. The other two were fired from Gaza into the Eshkol region.Israeli security officials said the salvo was meant to upstage Cairo's efforts to mediate a truce ending a week-old shelling war between Israel and the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.Reuters contributed to this report.
