Geocartography Institute survey on the shopping cart for Rosh Hashanah

The survey, conducted by the Geocartography Institute on which chain offers the cheapest shopping basket ahead of Rosh Hashanah and the holidays, determined: the chain offering the cheapest basket is "Rami Levy" with 31%, second place went to "Osher Ad" with 25%, third place – "Yohannoff" and "Half Free" chains with 6%, fourth place – "Shufersal" with 5%, fifth place – "King Store" with 4%, sixth place went to "Victory" with 3%, and 16% said they do not know.

An interesting phenomenon is that in the Jewish sector, 35% stated that "Rami Levy" offers the cheapest basket compared to only 12.5% in the Arab sector, while "Shufersal" in the Jewish sector had only 2.6%, compared to 16.2% in the Arab sector.

Another topic examined in the survey was the cheapest and best-value basket of fresh meat products (deli products). In first place: "Rami Levy" chain – 25%, second place: "Osher Ad" chain with 17%, third place: "Yohannoff" chain with 7%, fourth place: "Shufersal" and "Half Free" chains with 6%, fifth place: "King Store" chain with 4%, and sixth place: "Victory" chain with 3%.

Another topic examined was the fresh fish product basket with the lowest prices. In first place: "Rami Levy" chain with 22%, second place: "Osher Ad" chain with 11%, third place: "Yohannoff" and "Half Free" chains with 8%, fourth place: "Shufersal" chain with 7%, fifth place: "King Store" chain with 4%, and sixth place: "Victory" chain with 3%, with 27% stating they do not know.

The Geocartography Institute's survey was conducted in early September 2024, ahead of the Rosh Hashanah and holiday shopping, on a national representative sample of 503 men and women aged 18 and older in both the Jewish and Arab sectors, according to their proportion in the population.
