Rabbi Yoshiyahu Pinto often states in his talks that every person undergoes 10 life-transforming trials. These are trials in which he is confronted by a closed door and has a very difficult time. He learned this principle from the great Chassidic sages.

Rabbi Pinto explained, "A person sometimes in life reaches a situation where no matter what direction he tries to go in - the door is simply closed. He tries to go to the right - he fails. He tries the left, and also fails. He fails everywhere. He is going through a life-transforming experience, and every person has ten such experiences in life.

"You need to know," added Rabbi Pinto, "that if a person nevertheless manages to overcome his life-transforming trial, he will rise to a very high place. If he breaks down and fails to pass the life-transforming trial, then he will remain at the bottom and will not reach his true destiny in life."

"If you fail in a life-transforming trial, you will never get to where you were supposed to," Rabbi Pinto emphasized. He added: "Every life-transforming trial has an exact date, when it will begin and when it will end. Nothing a person does will change that. Every life-transforming experience comes with an expiry date, and when that the date arrives - the experience ends.”

Rabbi Pinto concluded his talk: "The way to deal with life-transforming trials is through prayer. Simply pray to the Holy One, blessed be He, to give you the strength to face and succeed in your difficult trials."
