The last year has seen extraordinary spiritual momentum: over ten branches and yeshivos were opened in Israel alone by Shuva Israel, Rabbi Yoshiyahu Pinto’s network of institutions.

In recent years Shuva Israel has become a worldwide phenomenon, disseminating Torah and prayer and helping those in need. Its yeshivot are scattered throughout the USA, Europe, Morocco, Israel and other countries.

Last year, more than ten branches and yeshivot were opened in Israel; in Jerusalem, Or Yehuda, Tel Aviv, Petach Tikva, Herzliya, Tiberias, Ramat Gan, Ashdod, Chadera and Ra'anana. In the coming months, branches will open in Kiryat Gat and Kiryat Yam.

Last night, the ceremony of accompanying a Torah scroll to a new yeshiva that was established in the upscale Mishkenot haUma neighborhood in Jerusalem took place. Local residents came to dance with the Torah scroll and celebrate the opening of the synagogue.

This year, Rabbi Pinto marks the 30th anniversary of Shuva Israel’s founding, which today has over 100 yeshivas and branches worldwide. The all-encompassing goal of Rabbi Pinto's institutions is to connect Jews, spread Judaism and above all to help the needy and weak.

Rabbi Pinto constantly visits his institutions around the world, meets with his students and gives Torah talks and encouragement that are broadcast live on social networks and selected websites.
