Gimmel Partners earned the highest return of the year, drawing positive interest with a successful takeover in the Red and Dr. Murray's Israel Basketball League.
Gimmel Partners got in on the ground floor with the 14th seed of the Auerbach Championship Trophy playoffs. Now they're raking in big dividends. Their initial playoff offering was a 47-41 victory that burst third-seeded Zimuki.com's bubble. This week they upped their bid with a 55-44 win over Jerry's Kids, for a share of the Final Four.
"We get good tips, capitalize, and our blue-chippers are always on the money," said Gimmel Partners captain Jeremy Geller. "You can speculate all you want, but don't sell us short."
Lobos Too 55, IBC Group 41
Ninth seeded IBC Group kept up a see-saw battle with Lobos Too, the top of the bracket, through much of the first half, before front-court mates Rudman, Haber, and Weider's 16 points apiece advanced Lobos Too to the Final Four.
Big Shwarma 54 Nitz/Yosballerz 50
Big Shwarma, the 13th seed, knocked out another favorite with a win over 5th seed Nitz/Yosballerz. Big Shwarma now looks for the ultimate upset in their Final Four game with Lobos Too.
In the quarterfinal game that remains to be played, JV Elite battles Mauzone, with the last ticket to the Final Four on the line.
