Third-seeded IDT Global Services and fifth-seeded The Jewish Press both won last week to advance to the semifinals of the Yosef Goodman High School AFI league. On Wednesday, IDT will face the second-seeded Levine Family Chashmo Jaguars, while The Jewish Press will go up against top-seeded Tover'z Boyz.
While the loss to IDT eliminated Goldstein and Berger Ltd., the team, which consisted of players competing in organized flag football for the first time ever, was cited for their sportsmanship and positive attitude throughout the season. Despite their lack of experience, Goldstein and Berger Ltd. finished their campaign with a respectable 3-4 record.
