Andy Ram and Yoni Erlich continued their strong play on clay with a victory over Michael Llodra of France and Olivier Rochus of Belgium to reach the quarterfinals of the ATP Masters Series event in Hamburg, Germany, on Wednesday. The sixth seeded Israelis earned a 6-1, 3-6, 10-5 victory, and now will spend Thursday spying on potential opponents in the next round. Ram and Erlich will face the winner of the second-round match that pits No. 4 seeds Paul Hanley of Australia and Kevin Ullyett of Zimbabwe against the German duo of Michael Kohlmann and Rainer Schuettler. After winning three matches on clay in the last two years, Ram and Erlich have now won four in the last two weeks.
